I Want Candy!

If you have a smartphone or tablet, chances are you have Candy Crush Saga. The game, where you match color-coordinated candies in a grid for points, is super-popular- in fact, it supposedly rakes in more than $600,000 a day. The game is free…so where’s all that dough coming from? In-app purchases, of course- players can buy additional lives from the iTunes store, preventing them from having to wait half an hour for more free lives. These purchases are just a few taps away, and when you’re in the throes of a full-force Candy Crush addiction, they’re tempting. No wonder Business Insider reporter Megan Rose Dickey racked up a $127 bill in just one week!

Fortunately, her obsession paid off for the rest of us- Dickey discovered a cheat that unlocks unlimited lives. Here’s how it works: on your iPhone or iPad, go to “Settings,” hit “General,” then scroll down to “Date & Time.” Turn off the “Set Automatically” feature and change the time to several hours in the future. This way, you confuse the game by thinking it’s a different time, restoring all your lives and allowing you to play on for free. Good luck getting anything else done today.

This Ice Cream Will "Quack" You Up!

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream? Chocolate? Vanilla? Rocky Road? Maybe some exotic flavor. Take a look at the picture to the left and tell us if you have any idea what flavor it is. Don't worry you won't be able to. It's called Foie Gras Ice Cream. And in case you didn't know it, Fois Gras is a fancy name for....are you ready?....duck liver. Yep, duck liver ice cream! I guess you can make anything into ice cream, just ask Ben & Jerry's, but duck liver? Get the full story here. What the most exotic or weird flavor of ice cream you've ever tried? Call me boring, I'm basically a chocolate guy, but duck liver? No way!

Octomom In The News Again...And It Ain't Good!

I just don't get this woman! TMZ is reporting that Octomom Nadya Suleman is being investigated for welfare fraud! The site claims the L.A. County of Welfare and Fraud department has been looking into just how much she made from her porn video and found she earned over $17,000 in six months, and was overpaid more than $15,000 in welfare funds during that period. This could lead to charges against Suleman, and if convicted she could face prison time. Welfare fraud is bad enough, but being overpaid because you made a porn video? I keep asking myself, what about all those kids? How do you possibly explain this to them as they get older?

Carrie Underwood Sings The Praises Of SNF!

As we've been talking about, Carrie Underwood is the new voice of ‘Sunday Night Football,’ and everyone’s been wondering how her version will sound — especially since NBC said she was their first and only choice upon learning Faith Hill wouldn’t return in 2013. Well, the intro is finally out, and you can decide for yourself how it sounds! Here's a link to the song.
Carrie's version of the iconic theme song is done in her own style, showcasing her big, powerful voice, which will rev everyone up for some football. Underwood’s ‘Waiting All Day for Sunday Night’ is a little more rock n’ roll than Hill’s rendition, and the songstress really lets loose with her vocal riffs, which is perfect with the heavy guitars in the song.
It’s refreshing to hear a new version of the song and exciting that Underwood truly made it her own while staying true to the overall feel. This has been a big week for ‘Sunday Night Football’ and Carrie, as the SNF bus was also revealed, showing Underwood is front and center on the tour bus, surrounded by lots of fan favorite football stars.

The football season will kick off on Sept. 8 when the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys, and Underwood will take on the classic, memorable SNF theme song.

McGREATEST MEAL EVER!

There’s a theory floating around about the greatest food in human history – and it might surprise you. A commenter on the Freakonomics blog, run by economics experts Stephen Dubner and Steven Leavitt, suggested recently that the McDonald’s McDouble cheeseburger is “the cheapest, most nutritious and bountiful food that has ever existed in human history.” And he makes a compelling argument. The burger is 390 calories, contains half a daily serving of protein, plus 7% of daily fiber and 20% of daily calcium. Plus, it’s available in 14,000 locations in the U.S. and usually costs just $1. Of course, there are skeptics – and those who have suggested an alternative “greatest food ever” meal of boiled lentils. But that’s not as fun now, is it?

TOBY WASN'T SOLD ON FORBES COVER

Toby Keith recently graced the cover of Forbes Magazine's Celebrity 100 issue. The featured article required Keith to take part in a photo shoot and interview, which the singer had no desire to do. Toby told The Oklahoman that his publicist demanded that he do it, so he reluctantly agreed. Keith said, "First of all, it's like pulling teeth to get me to do photo shoots and I don't mind doing interviews if they're by phone, but I hate to go sit down and have to meet somebody somewhere." But it was the content of this particular interview that really annoyed Toby. The article detailed the singer's several business ventures, including his restaurant chain, his Mezcal line, his partial ownership of the Big Machine Records label, as well being the head of the Show Dog Universal label. Keith said, "I'm uncomfortable even talking about success and money. I'm just a boy from Oklahoma that still drives a pickup truck."

Meltdown of Epic Proportions

Parents are accustomed to seeing meltdowns and tantrums from their kids, when they have missed a nap and are overtired.  However, this man has apparently had enough of his 30-year-old wife's childlike meltdowns.  "James" began to videotape his wife, "Whitney" as she threw a full-blown temper tantrum over not being able to go to the lake, in lieu of having to run errands with her husband.

I actually feel for this guy.  He must have had to deal with this type of behavior for years, before he finally decided to document one of the ordeals.  Honestly, there is no excuse for this kind of behavior from a grown woman of 30 years.  Ridiculous.

The biggest irony of all:  In the background on the vehicle's radio, you can hear The Band Perry's "Done" playing!!  Yeah, I'd venture a guess that "James" is DONE with her.  According to sources, he posted the video and moved out of their house.  He has filed a restraining order against her and they pair is headed for divorce court, where this video will likely be played to help him make his case.

I'm wondering if her parents spoiled her rotten and she knows no other way, than to throw a temper tantrum to get her way?  Regardless, it's inexcusable and horrible behavior.  What do you think?  Drop us an email!
